Both sire and dam are amongst
Australia's top winning Keeshonds. To say the least, Bair is a multi
all breeds Best in Show winning Keeshond and
Scully a multi
specialty Best in Show winner.
Together, their puppies are expected to follow in their foot-steps! Bair has produced excellent quality
puppies in past matings and this is Scully's first litter.
On 19 September 1999 at the
Keeshond Club of Victoria's 32nd
Championship Show with 105 Keeshonds entered (the largest Keeshond entry ever
exhibited in Victoria, Australia), both Sire and Dam were exhibited under
world renowned Keeshond breeder, exhibitor and judge, Mrs Kathy Stewart of
Klompen Keeshonds (Alberta, Canada). Below are her comments and
placing's of the two Keeshonds at this show.
Kathy wrote about the show in general:
"... There were several that I liked well
enough that I would have taken home with me without a moment's thought ... the
dogs had wonderful colouring, pleasing expressions, with dark eyes and dark
pigment, and full coats. It was so nice to see dogs shown in their
natural state ... As a breeder, it is always a delight to find good quality in
bitches and the veterans. To me, this indicates that not only have you
had great dogs in the past, but also you have what it takes to produce the
best in the future. I wish the breeders continued success in this
regard."
Sire: BIS & BISS Australian Grand Champion Kerjoydon Earl O Hearts (Bair)
(DOB: 22 June 1992)
Best Veteran in Show
Kathy wrote about the class:
"This class brought tears to my eyes.
There were nine dogs, all in such wonderful shape, from 7 to 11 years of
age. I was very pleased with the class, as a whole - sound dogs, pretty
and showy. It was too bad I could not give out more ribbons."
Kathy wrote about Bair:
"I wish this dog had been entered in my
regular classes. He took my breath away, and I would have taken him home
in a minute, if permitted. He is an exceptionally nice dog with pretty
definition, lovely coat, very pretty face, and lovely movement - hard to
fault."
Dam: BIS & BISS Australian
Champion Rymist Sugar N Spice (Scully)
(DOB: 8 December 1997)
BEST EXHIBIT IN SHOW, Best Open in Show, Best Brace in Show (with
full brother Australian Champion Rymist Dealers Choice)
and Bitch Challenge Certificate
Kathy wrote about the class:
"If
I had to choose a favourite class to judge, this would be it."
Kathy wrote about Scully:
"My ultimate Challenge
winner - Overall a very nice bitch with exceptional colouring, beautiful
silhouette, lovely topline, clean lower legs and feet, pretty colour
definition, lovely tail set, nice moving, could use more pronounced
spectacles."
Thanks
Kathy for recognising the quality of these great Australian Keeshonds.
Thanks
to Joy and Kerrie Rau for allowing us the privilege of using Bair at stud to
our Scully.
