NSW Dog Laws
Home Up Services Feeding General Keeping Grooming & Bathing NSW Dog Laws Kees Enquiry Form

Dog Laws introduced on 1st July 1999 in New South Wales (NSW) requires your dog to be micro-chipped and lifetime registered.  Failure to comply will result in fines issued by your local Council in NSW.

MICROCHIPPING:

Your Calivale puppy will have been micro-chipped as required by state government law. When you pick your puppy up at eight weeks of age you will be required to complete a micro-chipping form which we shall forward to the local council for registering - you will receive the updated micro-chip information slip in the post shortly after.  When you receive this, you use this certificate to life-time register your Keeshond.

LIFE TIME REGISTRATION:

Your Keeshond puppy is required to be life-time registered by you before the age of six months.  This is a state government law introduced on 1st July 1999.  Please visit your local council with your updated microchip information slip to register your Keeshond - the microchip form is also the lifetime registration slip.  The charges for life time registration vary depending if the animal is entire or neutered and if you are a pensioner, breeder or a general pet owner.  Contact the phone number given on the form for further details, or your local council office or vet will be able to help further.  When you receive your puppy from Calivale, you will be given detailed information on fees and charges for registration.
